Le Valentine Cigarette

A cheap,fast and dirty design of the fictional cigarette packs which will appear in the shorties. It inspired by the early 60s. A little bit of retro and sex appeal twist. It reminds of the sexploitation B-graded movie with lots of explicit sexual, gratuitous nudity and violence. :P

We... going to start shooting at 2nd of August, and 1st of August, crews getting set up all that, that means, we still got 4 days...

We just gather for meeting plus yam cha, now left one more setting before we can really start all our stuff. Hopefully, we can get the place, or else we need to change the script according to the new setting.

Title of the script still pending, suddenly found out an interesting name which maybe suits our script and it is from our DOP, kok hee. I feel it quite nice, it called Valentine.

So now have few options for the title, and i am still considering which is the best for it.
1) Circus of Neverland
2) Valentine
3) Valentine of Neverland

CASTING...

Finally, the script is done. DAMN! done. It is really really completed. Errr... maybe needs minor adjustment there and here. Then, location is not finalise yet. It is a big Whoop! ass headache. Next week, needs to get all the locations finalise >< .  So far, just the few locations are in consideration. We are hunting location like hungry dogs.

Oh yeah! later on Friday, July 2008, 12 pm, the casting director is having the audition. So the selected casts ^_^ don't forget to be there. We have the scripts prepare for you and don't be afraid. We will not bite you. We are having it at the FA studio and we are be waiting for you.. yes you! Just lets me know if you can't make it then we can make the arrangement. Err.... Casting Director, can i be exempted?

UPDATES...

hi guys, i updates something under my task. :D

First, i set for an audition for cast on Friday, 12 noon.

Secondly, i getting two more crews helping during production. ( 3 people in production really can't work, i whole day felt headache when i start figuring if only 3 of us in production, even cast have more than crews... omg!) So... i asked around, thinking who i can get.

At last, i hunt two today, one is Siying but she can only help on Friday till Sunday. And another secret helper. I wont tell who is she now, but can tell she is a female... haha... She don't know about film, production all this stuff not even make-up, custom nor practising acting but, as my assistant, help out. i hope she can cope it althougth she is new about all this.

Third, i just finish discussing with scriptwriter, the overall script structure is complete, left some minor part, and cut away scenes. Really hope that he mention that he love writing, he really meant it... cause, i think he read the script more than i do... ( Don't kill me when u realize it ) I really really appreciate the hard work that you done... Whahaha

SCRIPTWRITER IN THE POINT OF BREAKDOWN!!

Ya, it is true. I means, it is really really true. How true? Damn wtf true kind of things. Apparently, the scriptwriter doesn't like alots of the scene been chop off and new elements adding in. As, we knows that we are doing it without budget. We tries to minimise all the things. Only the essentials one will retain. The rests have to say byebye. Then again, it is difficult to balance off everything. Basically, all hell breaks loose. Eventually, as we progress, i sees the script has mature in its own right. Kudos!

Title of script ( still brainstorming... )

hmm.. okay, first time post in here. So, i am suppose to think of the title of the script, as for now, the title called Circus in Neverland, and it will keep until i am able to replace it with a better one, more figurative one (as reirainx said). Actually, i have no idea how to make up a good title, get research on names in films, figuring out some words in online dictionary, and brainstorm out some names... I just type it out here, many will be lame, or sound common or not interesting, but just it is a process, and i wish to share how lame am i before i become an interesting person, ha... so now, show the list which i already filtered.

New Members arrive

Yup, as u notice that I added more contributors for this blog. (Oso not that many lo) Now, the blog is not solely for me alone but also to you. (guys that kena force join lah). So, i can says that this is our official blog (since there isn't any) to post our stuff.  Don't be malu malu kambing to post la. Tats all. Not much of update, since the script going through tremendous changes. I lets u guys know

UNTITLED SHORT FILM

Ya, got the itch to do another short film. 1st of all, it really been a long time i did not really blog. So now i got the chance to blog. So. we will c plenty of updates soon. 2nd, sorry to say that the previous short still not yet completed. It will complete very soon i asured (tis due to insuffient hdd space, ya i knoe it is not an excuse but believe me when u finished yur fyp. U will c how fucked up is yur hdd. So, now i an in process of intensive hdd space clearing.) Rest assured. The incomplete short will done very soon. Then, oh yeah! we r going to do another short. Script is can say is done BUT need to rewrite a lots of stuff. @_@. I dunno if i can make it because the script is not done by me but by Rachel Suzanne Joey Phang. I just merely an editor to her script. And i hope she does not kill me when she c the revise script. What is the short all about. Ermm.... i think best way is to except from the script. It is about " Two soulless people meet in an old-fashioned coincidence boy meet girl affair. Each carried burden on the shoulder and wondering aimless in the street. They did not realize that their missing precious are right in that moment. Where they cross one another path. It is not coincidence but purposely."   And finally, i will bek for more updates. Sorry for the language, it is purposely 1 :P

Short film, Room For Rent segment.

Ok, i just finished the room for rent segment. It is pretty short duration, 7 mins. It portrays the blue shirt guy searching for rental room. Then he stumble upon the handwritten advertisements pasted on the poles. Unwittyly, he began to photograph the advert and keeps it. It has no ending, it is open-end story. Basically, it is a visual metaphorical representational people searching for rented room. The photographs are the memories he is searching. The short just entered post production stage. Need to do a lots of stuff, editing, color correction, vfx, etc... Vfx!!?? ya... just some minor passive vfx that all... not grand vfx like the transformer type. U won't notice it. . As promised, here i attached the outtakes and some behind the scene.

Untitled short - production

Yadayada... just finish wrapping the untitle short today. It took 3 days of pain, love, sorrow and laughter to accomplished it. How it turns out? i dunno... i better keep it shut. Anyway just want to thanx the crews for handling the production. Yes, i knoe i am quiet demanding sometimes... blurriest in other times, uncertainty at the story flow.... am I?

Ok, what you can do now is wait for my gud news. And wat i can do now is edit the footages. And giv u the gud new..
