This is the synopsis of the short:
In a small town, Ah Hong and Angel are two teenaged girls. Angel and Ah hong are best friends since childhood. Like any other teenager of their age, they go to school, they play, they argue, and they dream. Over the years, their relationship becomes intimate that sometimes, anyone can misinterpret them. Neither girls confronted their real feelings. They are afraid they might hurt each other. One day, Ah Hong decided to leave the small town but she was unable to do so without Angel. Solemnly, Ah Hong asked Angel to accompany her. Ah Hong understood Angel reluctant to part with her sister as she is her only family. Will Ah Hong be together with Angel? Or it is just merely her daydreaming.

CASTS AUDITION? Seem my next short is on

Ermm.... well today we audition the casts. It went pretty smooth and unexpected. I am still torn between the two guys. The gurl is confirmed and hopefully she able to perform. The short will enter production 2nd week of January 2008. Now is basically pre- production stuff. The casts, the script, the props, the location, the equipments, crews, etc. There are alots of work to do... yet so little time. Damn.....
To new crews, welcome aboard and to my older crews... hahaha u knoe la.

I am losing my faith...

Ermm...... it been a wonderful time at the screening at the Annex gallery. I was late and Missed out my own screening... fuck! but still it is nice that i manged to catch other filmmaker works. Pretty awesome actually. I like the short, Laundry by Mien. It is nicely done. Luv the cinematography. Ermm.... comparing others to my, i feel my like a kid's play. They got excellent casts and crews. How i wished i can be sponsored or funded.... haiz.... after this, i have no idea where i am heading to. I have lost nearly half of my crews whom doesn't seem to believe in what i am doing( even i have lost confidence on myself.) Should i just stop or continue on? damn... damn... just make the 1st step.

Public screening for the 1st time

Yup, the title is said enough. The 1st short (I really really don't wish to speak the title again and i really really got alots of complain regarding the title) is finally screening to the public today, 8pm at ANNEXE @ CENTRAL MARKET and FREE ENTRANCE!! To all my casts and crews whom wish to attend, just come along and we hang out like old time :P i know it the timing isn't right and kind of last minutes notice. Sorry lo :( Anyway, hope to c ya guys over there! And i know, i still keeping my eye for any competition, dun worry.

Now, i'm in the progress of drafting the script. Yeah, yeah, yada yada..... the script for my 2nd short before i disappear into obvilion. The script is half done, half bake, not well done yet. Still, i try to spend some time to re-write. Unfortunately, i have to bid farwell to all my crews after the 2nd short( if it is still on or progess) because i have to put my mindless brain into my FYP. Hopefully, we will meet again. :( i hope. Goodbye....

3 DAYS SHOOTING MAKING OF

Now, almost half life state. After wrapping up on the final day of shooting. I just manage to sleep for 4 hours. F@$king assigment keeps pourin in. Anyway, enough for the bla bla bla. 3 DAYS SHOOTING

Errmm... this time, my role is not someone very important anymore. On rachel's production i am just merely a crew. This time it really give me a better perspective on the set. When we put on a heavy role, the pressure mounting on our shoulder. Everyone wants your attentions. You are needed every freaking f*%k time. However, when you are less important there are not much attention put on you. You are just what you are, a crew. Which i felt very nice actually there are no attention needed, no pressure, i can curi tulang, making stupid jokes n b fan cheong.... lol.

Anyway, enough for the crapping. Rachel do a good job as a director. She handle it well, but sometimes need to me more in command a bit. Come on, just f*&k me off if you don't like what i shooting or you have something more in your mind. Just tell onli, dun b afraid. Be a risk taker. Just remember that i am just merely your crew. One of the crews.

The 3 days shooting is quite challenging. We have to complete average 7 scene per day. So there are 21 scene in the short. If not mistaken. This time, we use fresh faces. As our previous one, we face a lots of problems. Haiz... maybe this the fact. And y do we need the crying scene in our every short... haiz.... i oso cannot answer that question le.. damn

Okay guys, i have manage upload to youTube. Phew, due to SOME! youTube rules and regulation, i have to break the short into 2. F$%k! This short is partially inspired by Hou Hsiao-Hsien and David Lynch 's works. Mostly in term of cinematography and editing.

I have just watched Hollywood Hong Kong by the famed Fruit Chan Gor. (Don't ask me where i got it) A pretty good film! yes it is but no so pretty as is appear on the surface. How i wonder how these people manage to shoot films like these. Don't get me wrong. It is not your typical sterotype characters but well established. It actually add layers to the story. Haiz..... story are easy to find but good one is rare. Those words really echoes in my head. How i wished i can do something like that. A simple story yet complex.

Ok, how to say le. Thanx for the whole crews and cast, Emily pack at Suzanne's house to watch the short. Thanx for being so patience for the longest delay. Hopefully, the short turn out okay. Ya, i got some mixed reaction and i try to fix it. It not my short alone, it is the whole crews and they have their saying how to improve on the short. Yes, i will take notes of it. :) So now the short is done and i try to submit to the competition, if there is any now or not too far in the distance future.

So, this our first short and hopefully more to come. Oh ya, Suzanne wanted to make a short film. She is drafting the script and looking for casts. So, if there any cast wan tryout just let me know. ahehehe. So, that's it. This is the end of the 毛毛雨 de. So stay tune for my next 1.

Ya, today we will having the screening for the 1st time. Damn, i am really afraid they will kill me after they watch it. Please la, don't use bamboo stick to chap me la. Painful le.... Anyway, i still have to screen and see what is the reaction to the short. It is true, a lots of the scenes have been cutted. The raw footages run up to 3 hours and trimmed to less than 15 mins. YOou can imagine how much it have been cutted off. Haih... all the best la.

Yes, i know u guys have been waiting ages for the short. I can finally official said it is done. I have burned into the discs. I have saw it on the tv screen. Well, i just wanted to test and make sure everything is ok. So, it is officially done. No words can describe how happy i am to be freed from this rain. Err, oh yeah... i still got that experimental video that i lefted out. Oh well, now is the time to work out on that 1. woHoo! u still blurred out what the hell i fumbling. Nevermind, i just tell u, it is The drizzling rain which shoot with DSLR camera. Damn.... should not be so damn f@#king ambitious. Well, I gonna to do the 1st screening with the crews and hopefully casts soon. Hehehe.... hope i dun kena shoot kao kao by my fellow friends arr. :(

I have good new and bad new. The Motocycle girls is finished, yes i am telling the truth. It is officially done from the audio to the subtitle. Unfortunately, it lacking of the feeling and the mood i wanted. So, i redo the whole things again. And it is called 毛毛雨 aka drizzling rain. Now in the process of finishing up. Hopefully, is will be complete by next few days. Luckly, the 24 hours mamak stall have been accompany me during the sleepless nights. I have no idea why i wanted to redo everything again. Sometimes i wished i shouldn't pushes myself to limit. Then again the whole process is very much enjoyable. Damn, need to "puff" again. Here, i posted up again the behind the scene of the shooting.

Ya, i know.. Why we have two cameraman? Actually, the short film is not a short film but rather short films. Meaning that are actually two shooting happening simultaneously. One with the dv camera and the other with the DSLR camera. The latter is using digital still camera to shoot. The technique utilized the camera 's burst mode to capture rapid of images. The technique which is quite similliar to the stop motion but still a different all together. Then surely someone will asking, if the video is out? How about the digital still? Good question... which i 'm unable to answer that....

Ermm.... although the final product is finished but i still not satisfied with the result. I really wishes we shoot with a better dv cam. Anyway, i would like to thanx Lxx for providing us the dv cam. Without her, i have no idea what crazy idea i will think of. Here is the photos taken during the shoot.

Motorcycle Girls aka 如果或如

Fuh........ How to describe the the whole stuff. Well, I might begin how we started off. It begin with a simple idea, "we wanted to shoot a short film" and bang! we headed off. Ermmm.... actually the process wanting to shoot, and to shoot are not easy as we thought. The process is very tiring and draining. First, we come out with a story which is simple and easy to be understood (but instead it turn out to be a very complex and disaster story). I drafted the story but it did not turn out right. Then my sarcastic fren, Sin gurl come to my assist. Damn, if i want to bla bla bla it takes me 100 pages.

To cut short, we manage to pull the whole things in a month. The script, the casts, the location, the equipment and the shooting. Oh, btw the shooting only lasted for 5 days, 3 days to shoot the casts and 2 days to shoot cutaway scenes. And hell! the post production took me more than a years to finish. Ya, till now it ISN't finish but nearly into completion but it isn't finish.

Okay, i didn't wanted to crap and bullsh*t. Here i post some of the pictures during the production of Motorcycle Girls. Oh yeah! forget to tell you guys, err.... i means the crews. The films is almost complete but still need to some tweaking such as subtitling and burn into the disc. So, you guys just keep track on my blog for the next few days. Who knows! Maybe the short film will be complete in the next few days. Sorry for the longeeeeest delay, as you know i the one doing the post-production stuff. :P
